The travel to Kiruna is easiest by plane via Stockholm. There are more than 2 flights to Kiruna daily, we recommend the one arriving in Kiruna around 1 pm.
We will pick you up in Kiruna and drive together to Hukanmaa by car in roughly 90 minutes.
1st week
Saturday
- Arrival in Kiruna
- Transfer to Hukanmaa, welcome, get your room, get in touch with the other guest having dinner
Sunday
- Have a relaxed start, visit Hukanmaa and the village of Kangos
- Meet and greet with the local craftsmen and have a look aroud the Lone Wolf settlement
Monday
- Start the foundation of a barn, having lunch outside at the fire place
- Continue building the foundation, dinner at the Lapland Guesthouse, relaxing evening
Tuesday
- Finalizing the foundation
- Fishing in the Lainio river, prepare and grill the catch, sauna and relaxation
Wednesday
- Visit the larges subterrain mine in the world in Kiruna
- Get some construction material when in Kiruna, joint preparation of the dinner, beer and wine and talks.
Thursday
- Laying the lowest two round of logs of the barn
- Some creative interior work on other buildings, dinner and desert with self picked berries
Friday
- Relaxation day
- Riverrafting to Kangos, 15 km downstream the river Lainio to Lapland Guesthouse with dinner, sauna
Saturday
- Get some construction material in Pajala and Kolari (Fin)
- 3 more rounds of logs at the barn, prepare the windows
- 4×4 driving on the northern most Land Rover test track in the world, eating outside at the track
2nd week
Sunday
- No-work-day, large swedish breakfest buffet
- Individual activities, sauna and hotpot
Monday
- Blacksmith workshop all day
Tuesday
- Lay compound beam above the windows to fix the wall at the barn
- Interior work in other buildings
- Individual time
Wednesday
- Prepare for the rafters and the purlin (top beam) for the roof of the barn
- Trip to Lainio and cross the river by the hand operated car ferry, dinner at the Lapland Guesthouse, sauna
Thursday
- Align and fix the windows of the barn
- Fix the main door of the barn
- Individual time
Friday
- Finalize and insulate around the main door
- Burn-in your name in the Lone Wolf woodcup, mark your name on the construction name-boards
Saturday
- Transfer to Kiruna, lunch at Empes – best burger or raindeer kebab in scandinavia
- Flight back into your other life
